So familiar

They say everyone has a twin in this world. Someone that walks like you, talks like you, acts like you..

Now I wouldn't say we each have an exact replica of ourselves, but it is eery when you run across someone who's life so mirrors your own, that you are left besides yourself.

I've always been better at evaluating others. I would say most people would agree that they also find it easy to make an objective observation of the state of another persons situation, much easier than they can their own.

That's why it is such a blessing to find kindred spirits here in blog world. Sometimes, the issues that plague you that you just can't find the words to articulate, identify and decipher are the very same that someone else is dealing with.

So despite our different backgrounds, beliefs, family lives, geographic locations, accents, hair color - we are all more similar than you might even imagine. How could this be? Well, maybe just as kids take on the characteristics of their parents, I think that we all share the same spiritual DNA, from our Father in heaven, that makes us all very alike, in our joys and grievances.

The technology our generation has been blessed with allows us a place to communicate, where we can share our experiences, observations and very honest self-evaluations. To be presented with an experienced solution to a problem I'm dealing with can be such a blessed help and relief. But I equally appreciate those blogs where the honesty is raw, with no solution in sight, just the realization and recognition that there is something that needs to be worked on in my life.

Have you ever had the experience yet, where you can easily offer words of comfort, encouragement or wisdom to someone else, that you just can't seem to find or offer to yourself? Have you ever then realized shortly after, that you're going through the exact problem and the words you just offered really apply to you too?

I can relate to so many of you...you are a blessing to me daily.

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, cloth yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another...Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts...Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with wisdom..and whatever you do, whether in word or in deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:12-17
